I am an artist deeply shaped by both personal experience and the environmental challenges that have defined my home country, China. Having lived in a region acutely affected by climate change, I have directly witnessed the devastating consequences of environmental degradation — from extreme weather events to the pervasive impact of urban pollution. These stark realities have profoundly influenced my artistic practice, which is driven by a desire to raise awareness and inspire urgent action toward a sustainable future.
Through a diverse body of work that includes installations, sculptures, and conceptual pieces, I explore themes of time, responsibility, and the critical need for collective action in the face of the climate crisis. My art serves as both a reflection and a call to action, urging viewers to confront the pressing realities of climate change and consider their own role in shaping a more resilient and harmonious world. By engaging with the present moment and embracing the urgency of now, my work seeks to inspire not just reflection, but real, transformative change.
I’m honored to have been selected as one of the artists for The Flag Project 2022 at the Rockefeller Center as part of the “ONLY ONE EARTH” exhibition. The Rockefeller Center is collaborating with the UNEP and the Climate Museum for the 3rd Annual Flag Project, turning the submitted art into one-of-a-kind eco-friendly flags and displayed on one of the 193 flagpoles surrounding Rockefeller Plaza through the month of April. The exhibition will be free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. The purpose is to show what the environment means to us, how we live sustainably and in harmony with nature, and the daily steps you take towards positive climate action.
